About

The measures include unlocking energy efficiency in public buildings such as community centers, universities, and schools. Additionally, the project focuses on decarbonizing energy supply by implementing solar PV, micro-hydro, and green hydrogen production and storage. It also supports innovative technologies like solar integration with electric vehicle charging, micro-hydro with electric charging, and battery storage/demand response.

Moreover, the project aims to secure enabling infrastructure such as distributed energy and the integration of renewables while decarbonizing heat in public buildings. The communities residing and working within Troodos, along with visitors, will benefit from the project in several ways. These benefits include reduced emissions and energy costs, as well as attracting investment and creating job opportunities resulting from the planned investment.
