The European City Facility Strategic Board

The Strategic Board of the European City Facility is composed of local representatives of of different European city networks supporting the European Covenant of Mayors Office (Energy Cities, Climate Alliance CEMR, Eurocities and ICLEI). The Strategic Board is responsible for strategic steering of the EUCF ensuring that it directly responds to cities´ needs.

Ulrike Firniss is an Experienced Director of EU Affairs with a demonstrated history of working in government administration and industry. Her expertise includes Lobbying Activities, EU financing, International Project Management, Innovation Management and International Business. 

 

She furthermore has a Master of Science in European Studies from University of Gothenburg, and has been a member of the Strategic Board since its inception.

Independent Environmental Services Professional

Luigi Acquaviva has extensive experience on the local energy transition from working with strategic energy planning especially in (and with) smaller municipalities. Currently this includes work with Arezzo Municipality in italy. 

 

Luigi represents the interests of Southern European applicants and beneficiaries of the European City Facility. He has been part of the Strategic Board since its inception.

Ada Amon is an experienced environmental awareness and climate policy professional with a successful track record of advising governments and private sector organisations on developing public-private partnerships.

 

Ada represents the interests of Central and Eastern European beneficiaries and applicants in the Strategic Board and has been a member since 2023.
